The Ancestors were not meant to be served but deserved to be respected because they transmitted and protected Life for all generations to come. It is important to respect all the deceased and the Ancestors who preceded them in the afterlife.
It is the common duty of Laity and Priests, who are both under the auspices of the Bishop, to lead the People of God in each Parish and District, which is grouped into a Diocese. It is therefore right and just to demand of all priests and parish priests the so-called "capacity to lead" Christians, whether they lead or entrust them, and the capacity to manage the goods of the Church.
October 12 is the feast day of St. John Beyzim, and prayers are made for all people with skin diseases. Education is important and should be promoted at all levels, from the family to the community. Children, teenagers and young people need to be helped: physically, mentally and spiritually, these are the three elements that build the whole human being. Everyone has his or her own way of taking care of these three elements: the physical through food and clothing plus exercise; spirituality through education to gain knowledge; spirituality through prayer. October 4 is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The current Pope of the Catholic Church chose to use the name "Francis" when he reached the Holy See. There is a visit by the General of SJ worldwide here in Madagascar at this time. St. Francis of Assisi was the son of a wealthy man during his lifetime, but at the age of 25, he chose a life of poverty, imitating Christ, to share grace with those in need and vulnerable.
