March 11, 2024 — Monday, Fourth Week of Lent — Seek good and not evil so that you may live, and the LORD will be with you — Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John (Jn 4: 43-54)

The sacrament of reconciliation is penance, a sacrament that frees us from the sins of baptism. When Jesus said to the Apostles, "Receive the Holy Spirit, and the sins you forgive will be forgiven, and the sins you retain will be retained" was the first time Jesus Christ created penance. Absolving sins with penance is an absolution given by the priest. Absolution is forgiveness granted by the priest. There are steps to follow to receive the sacrament of penance: self-examination, self-accusation, going to the priest to confess sins, accomplishing the work of atonement...

The best gift in marriage is children. Children are not a right but a gift. Children cannot be considered personal property, as this would lead to the assertion that it is a right to have children. Fourth Sunday of Lent: the Father loves us sinners; God's love for the world is so great that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. The Pharisees were people who had no relationship with Christ, but called him Master; for those who are open to Jesus, he will reveal to them the secret of salvation and baptism, the mystery of suffering and of my resurrection and final judgment. Jesus is the Father's greatest gift to bring salvation and eternal life to mankind.

Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
