December 16 - Adelaide of Burgundy, sometimes called Alice, was born in Orbe (Urba) around the year 931. Daughter of King Rudolph II of Burgundy and Berthe of Swabia, she was married at a very young age to the Italian king Lothaire.
15 December - Christiane, or Nina, or Ninon, or even Nune was born in Colastri in Cappadocia. Her real name is not clear but these names were given to her by the people of Georgia because she preached Christianity: Christiane as a disciple of Christ. Nina is a contraction of Christiane, while Nune is an appellation for nuns.
December 14 - Saint John of the Cross in question today is that of the Carmelite Order. His name is Juan de Yepes Álvarez, born on June 24, 1542 in Frontiveros in Old Castile, a city located between Salamanca and Avila. Gonzalo de Yepes and Catalina Álvarez are his parents.
13 December - Lucie lived in Syracuse with her mother Eutychie. Since her childhood she venerated Christ and the Sicilian Virgin Martyr Saint Agatha. Her mother suffered from an inflammation of the entrails and blood loss, without healing for four years.

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
