Simeon was a true and religious elder who awaited Israel's liberation, who met Jesus in the Temple courtyard, gave honor and praise to God for having seen the work of salvation. When there was an outbreak of Covid-19 where it was not possible to meet and gather, family members strengthened their relationships by praying together, reinforcing the bonds between family members, the elderly could express their opinions. Following the Synod of Bishops on the family, published the apostolic exhortation "amoris laetitia": joy resulting from love. 2019 is dedicated to the year of Saint Joseph, head of the family. Diocese of Miarinarivo
Pope Francis has accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Diocese of Miarinarivo, presented by H.E. Mgr Jean Claude Randrianarisoa. At the same time, the Supreme Pontiff has appointed H.E. Mgr Marie Fabien Raharilamboniaina, as Apostolic Admnistrator sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of the same Diocese.
