The attitude and spirit to have in the liturgy are faith, acceptance of the Church, communion with the Church in the world; openness to the world. There may be special RITES or rituals, the order of things may change a little, but they are already approved by the Church and can be practised in different countries; the ‘Latin Rite’ is used here in Madagascar. The language and signs used in the liturgy are very specific. If a national language is used, the translation must have been approved by the Vatican. The books used in the liturgy are either the Bible, the Book of Mass, books on the Sacraments or sacramentals and these special anointings must have been approved by the Church. The day is one of the conditions that must be respected according to the liturgy, because those that are directly linked to salvation are ordered to be sanctified, and these dates are celebrated and cannot be replaced by other days. The interested party is also one of the requirements of the liturgy: several people or a single person, such as a priest or a religious, signify the prayer of the people, the liturgy, the prayer of the Church, for the people.
