The Christian tradition said that Sainte Prisca was part of a noble family, at te age of 13, she was accused of Christianity, probably around the middle of the first century, because of the persecution by Claudius.
The spiritual masters of the past opposed contemplation to action and emphasised God's vocation as a means of escaping from the world, its problems and its luxuries, in order to isolate and sanctify oneself completely through prayer.
