The Psalms did not stop at the time of Jesus, but continue to this day. You could say that the Psalms are still part of the Church's prayer or liturgy. The Psalms are the best and most precious prayers. In the New Testament, Our Heavenly Father is the best prayer that Jesus taught his disciples, but in the Old Testament, it's the Psalms. Jesus Christ was a Jew; that is to say, he followed Jewish customs and the Jewish religion; so he was one of those who used the Psalms a great deal in his life. For example, on Holy Thursday, it is said that after Jesus had eaten with his disciples and established the Eucharist, he and his friends sang a song of praise; in the same way, Jesus on the cross spoke many words taken from the Psalms. Love and Salvation
