The liver is an organ located under the diaphragm, on the right side of the abdomen, weighing between 1 and 1.5 kg for an adult. The liver's functions: stores carbohydrates to convert into glucose, produces the proteins needed for blood clotting, eliminates toxins and waste from the body, stores vitamins A-D-E-K, creates the bile needed for digestion, processes lipids, regulates hormone levels, regulates and balances body temperature... When the liver is unable to perform these functions, it can be classified as suffering from liver failure. Signs: fatigue, blood clotting problems, etc.
