Israel is not like other nations because God is its King, so it loses its dignity if it follows the customs of other nations because it rejects its true king. Israel wanted to be like all the other nations and asked for another king, they didn't know how to be satisfied with God-given destiny and they were always faced with problems. When: they cannot work freely, there is occupation and violence, they do not pay the price of work and demand too much money to do their job, people backslide and cannot really develop in terms of life because they become weak and discouraged. Leaders have a great responsibility here and must understand that they are fellow citizens and that everyone must support each other. Work improves social and economic standards of living. Work improves life but causes other things because it is affected by sin: violence, jealousy, dishonesty, hatred, conflict... There are obstacles that limit people who do not really improve their livelihood: laziness, jealousy... At the end of its second General Assembly, held from 15 to 18 October 2024, the Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace sent a message to government officials at all levels, as well as to all Malagasy and all people of goodwill.
