The attitude and spirit to have in the liturgy are faith, acceptance of the Church, communion with the Church in the world; openness to the world. There may be special RITES or rituals, the order of things may change a little, but they are already approved by the Church and can be practised in different countries; the ‘Latin Rite’ is used here in Madagascar. The language and signs used in the liturgy are very specific. If a national language is used, the translation must have been approved by the Vatican. The books used in the liturgy are either the Bible, the Book of Mass, books on the Sacraments or sacramentals and these special anointings must have been approved by the Church. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, You who have come in such large numbers to take part in this national pilgrimage, as well as all of you who are following it from home through the media.
