10 March — Sainte Anastasie is a hermit of Egypt. Virgin of great beauty, the emperor Justinian lusted her to be his wife.

 The Empress Theodora get very jealous. To escape the emperor's lust, Anastasie changes her appearance, she wore men's clothes and left town. For six years she lived in Alexandria dressed like this, but Justinian's emissaries found her in the end. Again she had to flee, went to live as a hermit in the desert of Scete and took the name of Anastasia the Eunuch.

She spent 20 years of her life there and died in 567. The superior of the monastery where she lived did not speak of her until 15 years after her death.

Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr. Bizimana Innocent, Provincial Superior of the Salesians Don Bosco of Madagascar and Mauritius, presenting his Christmas greetings. Salvation is accomplished, so life is not in danger of disappearing.
