Saturday February 13, 2021 - Fifth week in ordinary time - Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 8, 1-10

Brothers and sisters, Jesus did not hide from his compassion for the people who followed him because they had no food. The heart of Jesus is saddened when our lives are in danger. It's been several days since we saw it, we heard it cure many diseases because it is about saving lives. And this time, three days without food the people are starving. Food is life. We can say that everything that threatens our lives: insecurity, famine, epidemics, drought, all this does not leave the heart of God insensitive. He will never turn a deaf ear to our distresses.

This does not mean, however, that we are going to wait until we are served everything or that we are content to say: "Where then can we find bread to satisfy them here in the desert?" God asks us first that we do our best to offer the seven loaves of bread. It reminds us of the seven deacons who distributed bread to widows. So now there is no more room for selfishness, this is the time to put all our efforts together, it is when we are doing what is right for us that God takes care of the rest.

So, brothers and sisters, let us offer what little we can share: a little time, advice, hope, joy, wealth and much more, because he who gives and shares, amasses an incorruptible treasure , says our song.v
