Many people are planting trees, but everyone is encouraged to continue because Madagascar, once a green island, has become a red island; the country has become deserted. When harvests are good, people are keen to get involved in farming and livestock breeding, so technicians are encouraged to continue their research to improve seeds and livestock breeds.
