Work is a talent that can be interpreted as an asset. We humans have different abilities and it is this difference that complements each other. Every human being has different abilities and this is a special gift. Work has been a natural norm for humans from the beginning, and it existed before the fall due to sin, so it was never a punishment or a curse.
