Wednesday, January 18, 2023 — Second Week in Ordinary Time — Odd Year — Jesus preached the Gospel of the Kingdom and cured every disease among the people — Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 3: 1-6
According to what is written in the Old Testament: "You shall hold a holy meeting on the first day, and you shall hold a holy meeting on the seventh day. You shall not work on those days" Ex. 12,16. If we look at what is written, the question that should not arise is whether it is Saturday or Sunday that prayer can be done, for both are holy days of assembly. Catechesis on Sunday observance, in collaboration with Fr. Wagner Randriamampandry.
To summarize the various major councils, here are the things that were considered and decided. Those of Jerusalem (49/50) studied in depth how to follow the Law of the Jews. It was therefore decided that people from other countries who repented, were baptized and became Christians did not need to be "circumcised" in order to follow the Jewish law. In Nicaea I (325) it was defined about the Incarnate Word, and it said that Jesus is really the Son of God, one way with the Father (Homousis), and the true God, this was done to oppose the Arianism.
