The Episcopal Commission for the Application of Justice and Peace adopted the theme "Women and Land Ownership" for the celebration of 08 March. In order to give dignity to women, everyone's thoughts were drawn to the fact that "men and women complement each other, not only in physical and mental aspects, but also in their personality". The law gives women full and equal rights to land ownership. Officials encourage women to pursue their legal freedom, to enjoy and strengthen their rights; for example, civil marriage. At the end of its second General Assembly, held from 15 to 18 October 2024, the Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace sent a message to government officials at all levels, as well as to all Malagasy and all people of goodwill.
