First Sunday - Year D, Lent: Sacrifice for God; People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. The Gospel tells of Jesus being taken by demons into the desert; demons are called those who separate us from God. The desert reveals retreat, silence and prayer, and reveals trials (solitude, hunger, temptation...). Demons leave in vain when we depend on God and his word. The real treasure is God alone; let's abandon everything for God...
