Worldwide, 120,000,000 people are infected with Lymphatic Filariasis, especially in these regions: in Africa, Asia, Central and South America, but there are 104 districts affected in Madagascar, where the Ministry is carrying out info-awareness campaigns. Lymphatic filariasis is a swelling of the legs or genitals, or breasts. A swelling caused by filarial parasites that enlarge and block the blood vessels and are transmitted by mosquito bites .

Talking to children about sexuality is very important for their development and it is the duty of parents and educators to do so in order to inform them and prevent possible sexual abuse. It is based on questions coming from the children themselves that information adapted to their age is transmitted to them in a climate of communication and trust. Follow-up and medical care, if necessary, are an integral part of this duty .

♦ The Kobaby project: a project under the auspices of the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development, implemented in the Diana region in collaboration with AFD. The project covers five sectors: rice cultivation (varimanitra), beekeeping, fruit trees, sustainable fishing and community-based tourism . ♦ The tenerech ecodatus: a mammal, some call it "tandraka" or "kelora", a unique animal without a tail, measuring 145 to 328 mm . ♦ Amparafaravola district: seized wood, 87 rosewood logs .
