Pope Francis encourages and prays for everyone to live in peace and respect the environment. The most important environment is the ability of people to be at peace with themselves and with those around them, and the ability to maintain peace. In communion there is true peace, and in peace there is absolute security.
The Catechesis of the Catholic Church states that every group of people has a common good that enables them to know each other as they are. It is the role of the State to protect and promote the common good of society. It is the duty of government to coordinate the enjoyment of the common good.
