The Rector Major, Father Angel Fernández Artime has just been re-elected. Immediately after his re-election, he asked all the Salesian communities throughout the world to make a novena to the Blessed Virgin Help of Christians, to obtain her help in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

That is why the Oratorio of Ivato, with the poor children and students there, were among those who prayed the novena to Our Lady. From Monday 16 March, and for nine (9) days. We know that the coronavirus epidemic is frightening everyone. In this prayer presided by Brother Fabrice SDB, everyone knelt down in front of an image of the Virgin Mary, and recited the prayer taught by Don Bosco. Just like him (Don Bosco), we must have serenity and total trust in Our Lady Help of Christians, because "it is her who does everything" in our favor.

Let us put our hope in her, let us pray to God through her intercession, that God may protect us from this pandemic, that He may help and encourage those who are already infected, and that the souls of those who have died may rest in peace. Mary, help of Christians, pray for us.
