According to the Scriptures, blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven and they shall inherit the earth; poverty here means not clinging to earthly riches and avoiding visible wealth. Silence is important in humans and in God. God's silence brings many benefits to human beings so that we can be patient. Not everything we ask of God has to be done. Silence is the characteristic that all Christians need in order to be able to work peacefully. Silence also allows us to listen to God's voice, particularly in prayer.
