When we pray, we are in harmony with God's mercy: mercy towards all those who have asked us to pray for them, for whom we want to pray in harmony with God's heart. This is true prayer. In Church time, Christian intercessory prayer participates in that of Christ: it is the expression of the communion of saints. Catechesis on intercessory prayer, in collaboration with Fr. Mamiarisoa Modeste Randrianifahanana.

Men and women of prayer seek solitude and silence, not so as not to be disturbed, but so as to better listen to the voice of God. Anyone who knocks on the door of a praying person will find in him or her a heart full of compassion, praying without excluding anyone. Those who pray never leave the world behind. If prayer does not take in the joys and sorrows, the hopes and anxieties of humanity, it becomes a ‘decorative’ activity, a superficial, theatrical attitude, an intimist attitude. We all need interiority: to withdraw into a space and a time devoted to our relationship with God; but this does not mean running away from reality. Catechesis on intercessory prayer, in collaboration with Fr Mamiarisoa Modeste Randrianifahanana.

God always answers: today, tomorrow, but he always answers, in one way or another. The Bible repeats it an infinite number of times: God listens to the cry of those who invoke him. Even our stammering requests, those that we are ashamed to express; it's always a question of patience, of putting up with the waiting. Even death trembles when a Christian prays.
