29 March - This is Gladys, the Welsh queen and hermit of the 6th century. At that time, Wales was divided into several small Breton kingdoms, Gwynllyw and his wife Gladys ruled over one of these kingdoms.

According to accounts recorded in the 12th century, Gladys and the eldest daughter of Saint Brychan of Brycheiniog. With the help of King Arthur the suitor of Gladys kidnapped her. After the death of her husband, and not having a very good relationship with her son Cadoc, Gladys went first to Newport and then withdrew completely from the worldly life and lived as a hermit.

Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
