Fulgenzio of Ruspe (Thelepte, 462, 467 ou 468- 1st January 527 or 533) was Bishop of the town of Ruspe, Roman province of Africa, today Henchir-Sbia in Tunisia, In Byzacène, he was canonized as a saint.

Daughter of a Roman consul and denounced as a Christian, Tatiana was condemned to be hung from a gallows, her body ploughed and exposed with iron combs. The executioners outraged her by shearing her hair, and finally, she was decapitated.

Paulinus of Aquileia (in Latin, Paulinus Aquileiensis, in Italian Paolino Aquileia), born before 750 (from 730 to 740) in Premariacco (province of Udine), died in 802 in Cividale del Friuli, is a man of church, theologian and Italian poet, bishop of Aquileia at the end of eighth century. He was canonized by the catholic church (feast: On January 11).

St Guillaume de Bourges, as birth name Guillaume de Corbeil, born in  1120 and died on January 10, 1209, is the archbishop of Bourges from 1199 to 1209. He is the St Guillaume of the calendar.

Many Saint has the name Julian but today 9th of January we celebrate Saint Julian of Antioche the husband of St Basillisse. We call them virgin spouses and religious martyrs.

Originally from a Roman family, he was called Lucius like his father but changed to Lucien during the preaching of St. Peter. He then travelled all over Italy to preach.

Saint Raymond de Penyafort, born in Vilafranca del Penedès, near Barcelona, around 1175, and died in 1275, was a friar preacher (Dominican).

On this day of January 06, the church celebrates the manifestation in the eyes of the world of Jesus Son of God, the Messiah, the incarnate Word, before whom the Magi from the East ave come to bow down: It's the Epiphanie. In general, this date is a working day so the celebration of the second Sunday of the nativity in some countries.

Saint Odilo's Day is celebrated on January 04th. Born in 962 in Saint-Cirgues (Haute-Loire). He is a son of the seigniorial family of Mercœur in Auvergne whose lands were located on the plateaus on either side of the Allier between Brioude and Langeac. He began his studies as a canon at the church of Saint-Julien in Brioude.

On this 03 January, we celebrate St Genevieve. Born in Nanterre in 423, St Genevieve consecrated herself to God as a child.

Since the reform done by Pope Paul VI, we celebrate on the same day of January 02 Saints Basil and Gregory. They were born around 330 in Cappadoce. Basile is from Caesarea while Gregory is from Nazianzen. They come from Christian Families.

Diocese of Miarinarivo

Pope Francis has accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Diocese of Miarinarivo, presented by H.E. Mgr Jean Claude Randrianarisoa. At the same time, the Supreme Pontiff has appointed H.E. Mgr Marie Fabien Raharilamboniaina, as Apostolic Admnistrator sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of the same Diocese.

Love and Salvation

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
