Friday October 8, 2021 - Twenty-seventh week of Ordinary Time - Now the prince of this world is going to be cast out, says the Lord; and I, when I have been lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 11, 15-26

"Evil reigns and is never short of ideas", such is the grim assessment that we can draw up of our time. In other simpler words, the devil's work seems to overwhelm the world. But whatever the extent of his power, Jesus Christ our God is still and immensely more powerful.

If Satan oppresses and afflicts, Jesus, on the other hand, releases and breathes new life. If Evil interferes with our relationship with God, Jesus breaks all barriers, because he is God and can do everything. Omnipotent, he drives out all evil spirits, because he is the envoy of God to save men.

Dear Christians, today there are many and diverse religious factions that claim to heal all evils and cast out demons by the laying on of hands ... and the worst part is that many of our faithful are drawn to it. There are many who leave the Church and deny the faith. In this case, we must keep the ardor of our faith in God. Let us be vigilant and do not let ourselves be fooled, because God is faithful, he neither knows nor wants to deceive us. Amen.

The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth
