Tuesday July 27, 2021 - Seventeenth week in Ordinary Time - The seed is the word of God, the sower is Christ; whoever finds him remains forever - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 13, 36-43

At the request of his disciples, Jesus explains the parable of the tares. In his explanation, Jesus lets us know that the world we live in is a battleground between the sons of the Kingdom and those of the Evil One before the coming of the final judgment. In this judgment, Jesus warns us that there will be harvesting and sorting.

So we have to engage in the present because the final fate is being played out today. Here, Jesus does not seek to frighten us, but rather, he urges us to live under the horizon of the expectation of the accomplishment of all things in God in patience, trust, because it is through committing in this that we will become imitators of the holiness of God, that is to say, we behave as "children of the Kingdom".
