When John the Baptist sent his disciples to Jesus, it was not out of curiosity or ulterior motives, but simply out of ignorance, because he had not yet seen Jesus, he only knew him by reputation as capable of wonders. Isn't it the same for us: we want to believe that what we have seen, we have felt.

As Jesus was doing God's work, the two disciples came to Him: "John the Baptist has sent us to ask you :

Are you the one who is to come, or are we to expect another?" Jesus did not give a clear answer; He did not admit "I am". He even instructed these messengers to report to John: "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard". It is never Jesus' habit to boast and be arrogant, but He dispenses His love and shows His authority when trusted.

Furthermore, healing and casting out evil spirits is the manifestation of God's power in Jesus and is His very being. If we do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who came to save us, He cannot do anything in us. The healing and casting out of demons by Jesus today also reveals that in Him the prophecy about the Messiah is fulfilled: "the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor receive the Good News".

Jesus! You give us your love when we believe and trust in You. We implore You to strengthen our faith so that we can hope for salvation. Amen!

The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth
