Thursday, January 02, 2020 — Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 1, 19-28 — On many occasions and in many ways, God in the past, has spoken to our Father by the prophets; but in the end, in these days when we are, He has spoken to us by his Son.
John the Baptist announce here Jesus in his real nature: who baptize you in the Holy Spirit and the fire. It is him that we should follow, it is him we need to know more. It is his baptism which is authentic, the one we inherit to this day. The words of John the Baptist " there is one among you whom you do not recognize" still resonate in our lives today.
Let us implore the Lord so that Jesus who is omnipresent among us is not unknown to us.
