Monday, April 20, 2020 - Second week of Easter - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to St. John 3, 1-8 - If you have been raised with Christ, look for the realities that are in heaven: there is Christ, seated at the right hand of God.
From this Gospel we see the effect of the resurrection of Jesus, He rose again to lead us out of darkness and into the Kingdom of God.
Nicodemus, a doctor of the law, believed in Jesus at the sight of the miracles he performed, seeking to overcome his first impression of who he was. Jesus not only did not come from God but He also draws us into the Kingdom of God. "The only Son of God became incarnate and was given by the Father to the world in order to reveal and communicate to men the mysterious riches of divine life". This is the mission that He Himself, as Messiah, has done. But in order to pass and participate in this new life, in this life with God, we need a new birth through the Baptism of water and the Spirit.
Let us dare to start a new life again under the guidance of the divine breath, for this is how we would participate in the resurrection of Jesus.
