Wednesday, April 22, 2020 - Second week of Easter - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to St. John 3, 16-21 - God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that those who believe in Him may have eternal life.
It was in the elevation of His Son on the Cross that God revealed His love for mankind and offered them the salvation that those who believe in Him receive. Jesus is God's gift, the wonderful Gift that the Father gave to men through his coming into the world, his life and mission are already a manifestation of God's love.
God wants man to be saved and this salvation is none other than life, the life of God that His Son communicated to men. So what God expects of us is that we cling to Him, that we conform to His will and do good because all this marks our permanent communion with Him.
