The Madagascar Chamber of Agriculture held its ordinary annual meeting on 23 and 24 August 2023. Important points were discussed and approved during this period. The Arrupe Madagascar centre is helping to mobilise people to ensure that peace reigns during the run-up to and holding of the island's elections. The spirit of competition has always existed and has evolved progressively. Competition is a natural way of advancing to a better stage in life. As humans, we have used the 'mind' to better understand competition and comparison. There are people who cannot compete and compare themselves because of different starting points (physical, wealth, education, living environment, etc.). The spirit of competition and comparison cannot be encouraged without considering that a number of criteria need to be balanced, and that people who are similar need to compete on many aspects.
At the end of its second General Assembly, held from 15 to 18 October 2024, the Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace sent a message to government officials at all levels, as well as to all Malagasy and all people of goodwill.
