The FAFIALA Center will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. The official celebration will take place in July or August 2022 while it is now scheduled for April.

The opening ceremony will take place next May, with a demonstration of their work, at their headquarters in Ambohimangakely, district of Antananarivo-Avaradrano.

The outbreak of the third Covid-19 pandemic and a series of cyclones, during the preparation of the celebrations, are some of the reasons for the postponement of the program to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the FAFIALA Center, said Mr. Raveloarijaona Nonat, Executive Director . However, the preparations are now 80% complete.

During its 30 years of existence, the FAFIALA Center has made a significant contribution to the development of the rural production sector. Since then, its field of activity has been based on research and development, training and theoretical support.

More than 6,000 farmers, technicians, executives from various organizations have been trained by the FAFIALA Center to develop and improve the production on which they have been working for years. Training focused on production, which preserves the environment and rural development.
