The “Syndicat des Organizations Agricoles” or “SOA Network” continues to develop young farmers, especially young women in rural areas, to become professionals in their fields. Along with this, there is the training of young people to become leaders in farmers' organizations.
This project is a joint project of the SOA network with the FANAINGA program, implemented in two regions, Analamanga and Mahatsiatra-Ambony. One of the areas where the SOA network is working is the development of young farmers by training them to become leaders in farmer organizations, said Mr. Rakotonirina Tovoniaina Jocel, youth officer at the SOA network.
The SOA network is an organization of farmers from all over Madagascar. It now has 23 "peasant associations", made up of 23,000 peasant families spread over 11 regions of the island. The SOA network supports farmers' organizations defending farmers' rights and family production, training members of farmers' organizations, including managers, technicians and young people.
