Today, the Church remembers Blessed Jan Beyzym. Jan Beyzym, a Jesuit missionary priest who worked in Madagascar. He is called the apostle of the leper. One of the most difficult things to do is to take care of people with leprosy and this requires dedication. What the Gospel says today is what this blessed man literally applied in his life, he imitated Christ. He never had the fear or apprehension of caring for these patients. And according to his life story, he also wanted to have leprosy like the people he treated, but God did not give it to him.

Jan Beyzym's life can be summed up as follows: he was a man of faith because he had faith in God in everything he undertook, especially in caring for the sick who were neglected by society. He was also a man of hope, because he exhorted the sick to have hope and perseverance in life. The aim was to prevent patients from losing confidence. He was also a man of charity; he saw in these patients the face of Jesus. He spent all his strength and talents on them.

It is not easy to obtain the kingdom of heaven, God the Father, encourage us, who are in this ephemeral world, to live truly according to your true will, for the good we have done is never in vain and happy are those who love to serve. Blessed Jan Beyzym, pray for us. Amen.
