Monday, December 16, 2019 - Third Week of the Advent.
Holy Gospel by Saint Matthew 21, 23-27.
John the Baptist and Jesus did not do two different things, but one and it was preaching the Kingdom of God. Both are from God, but John is not only the forerunner but Jesus the executor.

Therefore, those who believe and accept John the Baptist as a Prophet believe and believe that Jesus is the Messiah, declaring that he is coming, the one who reveals the power and the power of God renewing all things through his teaching and his work of power.

The self-righteous and the skeptical, like the chief priests and the elders, cannot believe in Jesus as the Messiah, because they shut themselves down without accepting the reformation and truth that they proclaim the kingdom of God. Therefore, in order to develop faith in Christ and to know Him better, we need to listen to the Prophets, study the Scriptures, and interact with Him. But the more we know Him, the more we love Him.

We are preparing for the coming of the Lord, just as the elect people of the ancient time: thirsting for God, and striving to be ready to receive Him in our hearts and to accept our renewal in order to qualify ourselves and our works and to Christmas will be a joyous occasion for us.

Jesus, what we do is not perfect without you, everything will not save us unless it is renewed. So hurry up and make your journey here with us and do not let us be confident, but always desire you.
