August 18, 2024 — Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time — Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him, says the Lord — Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John (Jn 6: 51-58)
In the Old Testament, the word "Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel" is used only three times, including the word "Israel". Advice when we practice the Holy Eucharist that we practice the method and sacrifice of Elijah 1 Kings 18, 20,-39. "Answer me, Lord, answer me". Elijah was a famous person in the way of prayer, against injustice. Prayer sends us out to serve those around us. Joseph was discouraged by the problems he was encountering and even gave up praying. Joseph was a widower, and Angèle and young Jeannot were also orphans. Joseph could not live alone without a wife, and to provide for his two children, find daily food and take care of himself. Joseph and his son Jeannot say that they no longer see the benefits of religion; they say that Catholics worship idols and adore statues.

At the end of its second General Assembly, held from 15 to 18 October 2024, the Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace sent a message to government officials at all levels, as well as to all Malagasy and all people of goodwill.
