Many of God's words in the Bible speak of courage or courageous decisions, and go forward to do God's will. Here are some examples: Ex 10, 26 Mt 6, 30 Rom12: 1; 2. Catechesis on Courage, with Fr Jean-Luc Ratovonjanahary.
Tuesday July 20, 2021 - Sixteenth week of Ordinary Time - If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, says the Lord; my Father will love him, and we will come to him - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 12, 46-50
Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field." He answered, "He who sows the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world, and the good seed means the sons of the kingdom; the weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
He proposed still another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of plants and becomes a tree large enough for the birds to come and make nests in its branches." And he offered them yet another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of flour until it was completely leavened."
Jesus told the crowds all these things in parables. Indeed he never spoke to them except in parables. This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet: "I will open my mouth to speak in parables; I will proclaim what has been hidden since the foundation of the world."
