06 June - Norbert is born in his father's castle in Gennep near Xanten in North Rhine-Westphalia. Around the age of nine, he was placed as a novice and then as an Oblate in the collegiate church of Xanten. He was then entrusted to the care of the ecolastic canon of the Xanten chapter to instruct him and prepare him for the priesthood through harsh discipline.
Andrew came from Bethsaida and was the brother of Simon Peter, a fisherman like himself. He was a disciple of John the Baptist and one of the first two disciples to follow Jesus. 05 June - Boniface was born in Crediton, Wessex, and was christened Winfrid (or Wynfrith) at his baptism. He was from a good family and was admitted as an Oblate to the monastery of Exeter. A brilliant student, he was sent to the monastery of Nursling, renowned for the quality of its teaching. He became a priest at the age of thirty.

Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
