The 4th Provincial Salesian Cooperators' Congress took place at the Notre Dame Center in Clairvaux Ivato from October 9 to November 3, 2019.
The Salesian Cooperators of Mauritius were also expected but at the last moment, they could not come, then only the Local Councils of Bemaneviky, Toliara, Mahajanga, Fianarantsoa, Betafo, Ivato and the members of Ivato, as that welcome center, then a representative of the aspirant to Manazary who were able to attend this Congress which make a total of 54 participants.
Sr. Valérine, Pr Innocent, Lalasy and Lova introduced Salesian Cooperators around the world and in Madagascar. Elections for the Provincial Council of the Cooperator in Madagascar and Mauritius took place on Saturday afternoon with the presence of Father Provincial, P. Randimbisoa Charles Armand. Mr Tomara Clarence said Lalasy, former Provincial Coordinator was re-elected Coordinator as Olga, Ralaiariliva Lova Maurice, Razanakolona Liva and Domoinafanjalalao Anna Antoinette were elected members of the Councilors. This Provincial Council will work for a term of 3 years.
Sunday, a pilgrimage took place at Ambiatibe, beginning with a Stations of the Cross with Saint Jacques Bérthieu, followed by lunch and ended with a Mass presided by Father Innocent, Provincial Delegate. The Congress ended, Mahajanga's local councils returned that evening, and the rest on Monday.
The convention and the election of the provincial council are major forces for the association. So many responsibilities await the new councils.
