In Malagasy society, it's important to respect and keep one's word. People are gradually being educated to respect their words. When you are committed to a decision, it is expressed verbally or in writing to give it meaning. Commitment means that it affects every aspect of a person's life: body, mind and soul. We must first know whether the words spoken will come true before they are announced, and this must be the result of the will and not forced by the situation. Educators and parents must be models of respect for the word spoken, and must admit their mistakes if they do not respect it...
