05 September - Daughter of a priest from Tamieh (Fayoum) on the border of the Libyan desert, she was about twenty years old when Diocletian's persecution broke out.

On her way to the well to fetch water, she came across a procession of monks and virgins arrested by the police who led them to Alexandria in atrocious conditions, before putting them to death. She wants to join them. She is pushed back. She comes back, uttering so many insults against the gods that she is put in the procession and her head is cut off.

Love and Salvation
