march 20 — Wulfran is the son of an officer in the army of Clovis II. When his father died, he distributed all his possessions and left his lands to the monks of Fontenelles...

In 682, Wulfran was appointed bishop of Sens and led the Church there for more than two years. He felt the need to evangelize Friesland and went there. Many were converted, including the leaders. When Wilfran felt that his mission in Friesland was bearing fruit, he returned to Fontenelle and entered the monastery and spent the rest of his life until his death in 720.

One day Wulfran celebrated Holy Mass on a ship, the deacon accidentally dropped the paten into the sea. Wulfran asked him to point to the spot where the paten had fallen, to everyone's surprise, the paten rose from the bottom and was placed in the deacon's hand. Many people have a devotion to Saint Wulfran in Picardy and his relics are still venerated in Abbeville. Many prayers are answered through the intercession of this saint.
