March 13 — Rodriguez is a Spanish priest, born in Cabra near Cordoba in Spain. He was ordained in secret since Spain was at that time invaded by the Saracens.
RRodriguez was betrayed by his brothers who were Muslims. At first he was forced to renounce his faith, but he refused. He was then put in prison where he met Solomon, another Christian condemned because of his faith. They consoled each other and were killed together on March 13, 857, still in Cordoba.
