1st March — Eudoxie, Eudocie or Eudocia is a martyr who died in 114. He lived under the reign of the Tarjan Emperor. Eudoxie was a courtisan, sumptuously rich, of the town of heliopolis in Lebanon.
A monk passing by one day told him the Gospel of poor Lazarus. Moved to tears, she converted, distributed her goods to the poor and locked herself up in a monastery in the desert. One of her erstwhile lovers, a pagan come to relaunch, died suddenly.To the prayer of Christ, she ressurect him. Thereafter, denounced to the governor on false charges, she is sentenced to death.
