Every man experiences evil, around him and in himself. This experience is felt in the relationship between man and woman. In his mercy, God has not forsaken sinful man. After the fall, marriage helps to overcome withdrawal into oneself, selfishness, the quest for one's own pleasure, and to open up to others, to mutual help, to giving of oneself.
