The biblical definition of poverty differs from people's understanding of what poverty is. According to the Scriptures, blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven and they shall inherit the earth; poverty here means not clinging to earthly riches and avoiding visible wealth. Christmas is a great joy, because it is the love of God that has come to us, proclaims Fr.
