The people are thirsty for salvation, the Malagasy want to improve and progress in many ways, but this is the fault: the people are not united, intimidation and barbarism are spreading and rampant... They need priests, real priests, not functionaries of God. So we are encouraged not to depend on the things of the earth, but to use them to help our friends, that is, all human beings without exception. This means that we need a renewal from within.

So we have to pray regularly, but we cannot neglect educating people, so that they know what they are doing and the path they have to follow every day. You don't hesitate to look after and care for your friends, that is your neighbours and colleagues... but it is the members of society who are supposed to support, help and organise themselves, for the better and for the glory of God...
