Wednesday October 27, 2021 - Thirtieth week of Ordinary Time - By proclaiming the Gospel, God calls us to share the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 13, 22-30

Christ came to save the world, and God gave all men a Savior. But our salvation is a common work with us human beings and requires a willingness to receive and experience it while on earth. This is Christ's answer to someone who asked Him, "Strive to enter in at the strait gate that you may be saved." But salvation is not just a matter of common practice or habit, but the way that Christ shows is to deny ourselves, take up the cross, and follow Him. It is an example He taught to lead us all to salvation.

The door is narrow and we can't bring anything there, except the assurance that keeps us there: kindness and goodness, the ability to live by faith in God. Many will remember in the end, many will ask for the door to be opened and reminded of the preaching done to them, but those who have received and experienced it in their daily lives will be included but the rest are on the outside.

It is never we who determine our salvation or how we obtain it, but what Christ teaches and teaches us every day. Strive to be a partaker of the kingdom of God. Live by faith and trust God as did Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that we are His descendants and joint-heirs.
