Saturday May 1, 2021 - Fourth week of Paschal Time - If you remain in my word, you are truly my disciples; then you will know the truth, says the Lord - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 14, 7-14

Jesus teaches us about the Father. He explains that He and the Father are one. The disciples wanted to know the Father; reason why Jesus tells them that you have already seen the Father, because he who has seen the Son has seen the Father, but you do not believe: "I am in the Father and that the Father is in me." This is the mystery of the Trinity.

It is difficult for us Christians to understand this mystery if we do not have faith, for only faith can help us understand the mystery of God's infinite love for us. Even the apostles, Philip in this case, could not understand this mystery, because his faith was not yet deep. Jesus tries to explain to them that "I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or at least believe because of the works themselves." Jesus wanted to make Philip understand that the work of the Son is none other than the work of the Father. Let us therefore ask for the grace of always thirsting to deepen our faith in the Holy Trinity.
