Monday April 26, 2021 - Fourth week of Paschal Time - I am the good shepherd, says the Lord; I know my sheep and my sheep know me - Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 10, 1-10

We have heard in this Gospel that Jesus never ceases to teach his disciples through a parable. So he makes us understand that it is we who are the sheep, the sheep pen is the kingdom of his Father and the shepherd is himself. And he made it clear that whoever does not enter by the door of the sheep pen, but actually escalates it another way, that one is a thief and a robber.

So, what is He asking of us? He wants to let us know that it is He Himself who is the road that leads us to the kingdom of his Father. He is the good shepherd and his desire is that every man can access the kingdom of God. Already, he has given us his word to make us live and prepare us to go into the kingdom of God. In addition he showed us and let us know the road to follow for eternal life. That is, it is in Him that we can have happiness, freedom, joy, mercy, and the forgiveness of sins.

So, we are all invited by Jesus to live the perfect life with Him because He Himself told us that: "I have come so that we may have life and have it abundantly."
